‘Avatar 3’ could be so long it would be a 9-hour miniseries for Disney+ (Disney)

Disney Plus still doesn’t have ‘Avatar: The Waterway’ available on its platform, and while it is known when it will be integrated into the streaming service, there are new news regarding the franchise directed by James Cameron, which is already preparing details for the third film. It is rumored that ‘Avatar 3’ could feature a never-before-seen montage, with a 9-hour extension that would allow it to be a Disney+ exclusive miniseries.

The third film in the series “Avatar” has its premiere scheduled for December 20, 2024, with which a large underwater universe would come, however, not everything would be as in the previous two installments, rather James Cameron would present Disney and 20th Century Studios a version over 9 hours long. And if the second film seemed long to you, get ready because you will have more.

However, ‘Avatar 3’ will not only be an exclusive Disney Plus mini-series but will also premiere in theaters, but with a reduced cut and not nine hours, as the assembly of the miniseries is assumed to be. Furthermore, the title could be ‘Avatar: The seed bearer’ even if at the moment it is not official, and the shooting has already finished after being shot together with ‘Avatar: The way of water’ for logistical reasons.

Nine hours long for a movie, it might seem crazy, but nothing is impossible for the director of ‘Titanic’, in a film that will introduce other tribes of Pandora, including People of Ash and more. The director would have insisted that he be edit each of the 9 hours of footage e the created sequences

The information was reportedly released after Jeff Sneider and John Rocha explained that the final cut was expected to last 9 hours, and that the production would be preparing to release the two versions. One that will hit theaters with an estimated runtime of three hours, and another that will be exclusive to the streaming service.

As for the version that the house of mice would present in streaming, it is rumored that it could be a miniseries divided into three parts to be released months after the assembly presented in theaters, to reach Disney +.

Cameron’s plans for the Avatar franchise include at least 5 sequels, so netizens have already started wondering that if plans for a third film run longer than 9 hours, they don’t want to imagine what will happen with the next deliveries.
