Things will get much worse before they get better for him. yellow jackets equipment. The long-awaited second season will pick up after the shocking death of Jackie at the end of the first season. hollywood life spoke EXCLUSIVELY with samantha hanratty about how that changes the stakes in Season 2 and why Misty isn’t so mad about it.

“I think everyone is different,” Samantha said. hollywood life. “I think there are people who are heartbroken. I think there’s a complexity when it comes to Shauna because this was her best friend, but she’s also allowing it to be her for the first time. I think there are so many complexities in each character. I think it’s sad for Misty, but there’s one less person eating our food. Find an opportunity in it instead of dwelling on the anguish of it. If it were me, I’d probably feel a little guilty about reporting Jackie for not saying the sentence. It was like Misty instigated this whole little thing between Shauna and Jackie, but instead I think Misty is like, well, you made your bed.
In the final moments of the season finale, Misty joined Lottie and Van when Lottie sacrificed a bear’s heart in the woods. Samantha opened up about what that scene could mean for the show and for Misty in the future.
“I think the last scene that we see with Lottie sacrificing this bear heart, and you see Misty and Van behind it, kind of set up this possible little cult that could start, or the church, if you mean, Lottie’s. Church.” the actress revealed. “Misty is in a place where she will hold on to anything and everything she can for power, a place to be. I don’t think she’s giving up. She is not one to give up. She is still fighting.
Coach Ben can breathe a sigh of relief for a moment in Season 2, as Misty won’t have all eyes on him. “I can confirm Misty has a friend,” Samantha joked. “I’m very, very excited for her. I’m so lucky because noha [Jes Isman], who plays Crystal in real life, has become one of my best friends. I absolutely adore her. I was literally sleeping on my couch. You just left and you will come back here later. I love her. I love it. I’m very happy that she’s this new addition to our cast for the season and I think she adds an element that’s going to be very, very important.”

As the second season begins, the survivors find themselves in the midst of a brutal winter. Resources, especially food, dwindle as the days go by. Samantha noted that the show’s camerawork “reflects a lot of what we’re going through. In Season 1, it was chaotic, portable, direct stuff. There is so much to do in season one. And then in season two, there’s such a quiet. There’s so much emptiness and numbness.”
Samantha doesn’t know if the gravity of the situation has “hit the smack into” Misty yet. Despite the freezing weather and continued potential for death, the Shameless the alum revealed that Misty doesn’t regret destroying the black box. “I think there are times where I’m sure it probably wasn’t the best idea. But I think she’d rather feel important for a few months than walk away. I think she’s almost thinking, I could be wrong, at least we’ll die together. That’s how I feel about her now,” she said. yellow jackets Season 2 will stream March 24 and air March 26 at 9 PM on Showtime.
