Jackie Chan, the favorite of millions, is already 68 years old. It’s hard to believe that young and perky stuntman from his favorite movies is gone. He was replaced over the years by a short, crouching old man.

According to Novye Izvestia, evidence of irreversible changes was the video in which the actor appeared at the premiere of the film Dragon of Desires. He looked very old and could hardly move, leaning on his colleagues. Probably, old injuries make themselves felt, because Jackie Chan has always performed the most difficult stunts in films herself. Hence about three thousand injuries throughout his career and countless fractures.

PopCornNews asked the doctor if the fractures sustained could really have such a detrimental effect on the actor’s health.

“Most likely, the reason is simply in them. Even microdamages don’t go anywhere over time. Chronic processes just form there, and this leads to sluggish inflammation, arthrosis, tendinitis, – said sports doctor Alexander Rezepov.

The specialist also added that fractures heal harder in adulthood. The larger the broken bone, the more places that have nerve endings or areas of muscle attachment around it, the more difficult it is to repair the break. This can be painful even years later.

According to the doctor, this is common among athletes, but there are ways to keep yourself in shape.

“In Russian we call it physiotherapy exercises. He does not need heavy exercises, but rather health-promoting gymnastics so that he moves more. Because chronic pain worsens when the joints are immobilized,” Rezepov concluded.

Nevertheless, Jackie Chan certainly takes care of himself: sometimes he can walk briskly, as countless paparazzi photos show. But even as the situation escalates, he keeps smiling for the cameras.
