“I think people are going to be really, really surprised and we’re going to have a lot of jaw dropping by the end of Fast X. Put it this way. He’ll be like, ‘Really? What?’ How’s that! That’s how I was in the theater. I was like, ‘Oh my god. What we have done?'”

Well that’s exciting to hear! While I’ve enjoyed watching most of the Fast and Furious movies over the years, I’ve yet to be completely shocked by anything, and ridiculously over-the-top action scenes aren’t shocking. I want to see something shocking about the characters and the story they want to tell.

In the film, Jason Momoa’s character is poised for an epic explosive revenge due to how Vin DieselDom has wronged him in the past which ties into Fast 5. She is on a mission to destroy Dom by destroying his family.

The trailer got me excited for the new movie! Here is the synopsis:

Fast X, the tenth film in the Fast & Furious saga, launches the final chapters of one of cinema’s most legendary and popular global franchises, now in its third decade and still going strong with the same cast and characters as when it began.

Over the course of many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family have outwitted, unnerved and defeated every foe in their path. Now they face the deadliest adversary they have ever faced: a terrifying threat emerging from the shadows of the past, fueled by a blood feud, and who is determined to tear this family apart and destroy everything – and everyone – that Dom loves, forever. . .

In 2011’s Fast Five, Dom and his crew took down nefarious Brazilian drug kingpin Hernan Reyes and beheaded his empire on a bridge in Rio De Janeiro. What they didn’t know was that Reyes’ son Dante (Aquaman’s Jason Momoa) witnessed it all and has spent the last 12 years hatching a plan to make Dom pay the ultimate price.

Dante’s plot will scatter Dom’s family from Los Angeles to the catacombs of Rome, from Brazil to London and from Portugal to Antarctica. New allies will be forged and old enemies will resurface. But everything changes when Dom discovers that his 8-year-old son (Leo Abelo Perry, Black-ish) is the ultimate target of Dante’s revenge.

Directed by Louis Letterier (Clash of the titans, The Incredible Hulk), Fast X stars returning cast members Tyrese Gibson, Charlize Theron, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Sung Kang, Nathalie Emmanuel, Michael Rooker, Jordana Brewster, Jason Statham, John CenaAND Scott Eastwood.

New cast members include Brie Larson (Captain Marvel) as Tess, a rogue representative of the Agency; Alan Ritchson (Reach) as Aimes, the new head of the Agency who doesn’t have the same passion for the Dom crew as his predecessor, Mr. Nobody; Daniela Melchior (The suicide squad) as a Brazilian street racer with a strong connection to Dom’s past; AND Rita Moreno like Abuelita Toretto from Dom and Mia.

The film is released in theaters on May 19!
