Lionsgate has released the trailer for an upcoming crime comedy thriller titled One day as a lionwhat stars JK Simmons AND Frank Grillo. Both of these actors tend to make fun projects and it looks like this movie will enjoy it!

The film is directed by John Swab and Frank Grillo, and Swab is the guy who directed it. The film also stars Scott Caan as Jackie Powers, “a good guy but a bad hitman sent to take out a sly debtor only pisses him off.”
While fleeing the scene “Jackie takes bored waitress Lola hostage. Jackie needs money to get her son out of jail, so Lola hatches a plan to get money from her dying mother. Meanwhile, a thug sent to kill him sleeps with Jackie’s ex.
The film is also the protagonist Virginia Madsen, Marianne Rendon, George CarrolAND Billy Blair. The movie has the same kind of witty vibe you’ve seen from Quentin Tarantino or the Coen Bros, just not as good as anything they’ve done.
Lionsgate will release Swab’s One day as a lion in theaters April 4, 2023, then on VOD starting April 7.
