Mariska Hargitay is an American actress who, in the world of television, film, show business and entertainment, is best known for her starring role in the series ‘Law and Order: Special Victims Unit’, and although she is not the he only project she has participated in in her career, is the one with which the public associates her the most, even if the not quite children will remember that the 90s would have been part of the franchise of the Power Rangers.
The actress, born on January 23, 1964 in Santa Monica, California, rose to international prominence in her acting career, with her character of Olivia Benson, unquestionably one of television’s most beloved and which audiences continue to acclaim in its spinoff. Hargitay began her acting career in the 80s, playing small roles in films like ‘Ghoulies’ and ‘Welcome to 18’.
He has also appeared in various television shows, including ˜Downtown’ and ˜Falcon Crest’. In 1999, he played the detective role Olivia Benson in “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”, a role he played for more than two decades. But where we couldn’t wait to see him, he was in the spin-off film from the series “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers”in which she had gotten one of the main characters, but was replaced by another actress.

To date, there is no trace of that Mariska Hargitay she appeared in a Power Rangers episode or movie, however, what does exist is evidence that she was cast as one of the main characters, after undergoing an infamous physical change, resulting from a casting call she attended to be part of the former Power Rangers movie.
Mariska auditioned and prepared for the fictional character of Dulcea appearing in the 1995 Power Rangers film, ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie’, and although some photographs of her in the role have come to light, she was never actually cast as such because, before filming went Ahead, Hargitay was fired and replaced by actress Gabrielle Fitzpatrick.

In the film, Dulcea is the guardian of the “Mighty Source of Power”, which the Power Rangers must find in order to stop the evil space witch Rita Repulsa and her henchman Lord Zedd. Dulcea is a wise and powerful warrior, she teaches Rangers combat techniques and gives them advice on how to deal with their enemies. This character does not appear in any other Power Rangers movie or TV series.

“Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie” is a science fiction action-adventure film based on the popular television series ‘Power Rangers’. It was released in 1995 and directed by Bryan Spicer, and in it, Mariska Hargitay would occupy the character of Dulceawhich was ultimately played by Gabrielle Fitzpatrick.
The plot of the film centers on the Power Rangers, a group of young people with fighting skills and superpowers who fight against the evil plan of Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd to conquer the Earth. The Rangers must find the “Mighty Source of Power” to gain new powers and defeat their enemies.
The film features the original cast from the television series “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” which includes Austin St. John as Jason the Red Ranger; David Yost as Billy the Blue Ranger; Amy Jo Johnson as Kimberly, the Pink Ranger; Johnny Yong Bosch as Adam, the Black Ranger; and Karan Ashley as Aisha, the Yellow Ranger. Also, new characters are introduced such as Dulcea, played by Gabrielle Fitzpatrick.
“Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie” was a box office hit, grossing more than $66 million worldwide. It was followed by several other films and remains a major part of 90s pop culture.
Hargitay’s performance in ‘Law & Order: SVU’ earned her numerous accolades, including a Primetime Emmy Award, a Golden Globe and a Gracie Allen Award. She has also been an advocate for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence, using her platform to raise awareness and support organizations that help survivors.
