Konami recently launched the side booster set Maze of memories for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. This set was exciting for older players because it included some World Premiere cards that took the classic Gate Guardian and made that pseudo-archetype a decent strategy. Before you had three ok monsters that could be sacrificed for a terrible boss monster.

The new cards bring in Fusion Monsters which are actually pretty cool. Additionally, Labyrinth Tank and Shadow Ghoul have also been given a new love to add even more to the strategy. There are other great cards in the set like Black Luster Soldier – Legendary Swordsman, Duel Academy, Teardrop the Rikka Queen and so much more. Konami was kind enough to send me a box of Maze of memories to open which you can look below.
