While Marvel Studios has not commented on the matter, a new report released by The Hollywood Reporter ensures that Jon Bernthal Joins ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Series to Reprise Role of Frank Castle aka The Punisher alongside Charlie Cox, who also returned to the MCU as a character he played on Netflix.
Through his Instagram account, the actor jon bernthal took advantage of the news shared by DAY to upload a photograph where you can see him fully characterized as The Punisher, the Marvel comic character who will return to the digital screen in the history of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ thus confirming that the rumors are true.

This is the second character who previously worked for Marvel from Netflix, outside of the MCU, to join the multiverse saga, the first was Matt Murdock aka Daredevil, who appeared in the movie “Spiderman: No Way Home ” and later in the series ‘She -Hulk’ and in 2024 he will have his own series, which will give actor Jon Bernthal a space to return to the house of ideas as the relentless The Punisher.
The Punisher and Daredevil will work together again
In Season 2 of the Netflix series ‘Daredevil’, actor Jon Bernthal, who you may remember for his work on the first 2 seasons of ‘The Walking Dead,’ made his Marvel debut as the intrepid The Punisher, a very special comic book character who has been acclaimed by many fans for years and his appearance was so successful that he had his own spin-off on the same streaming platform.
However, “The Punisher” suffered the same fate as “Daredevil” and the other Marvel Defenders series, which were canceled and never heard from again, but now that Disney has reacquired the rights to these characters, they can reappear in the multiverse saga and merge their paths again.
The series ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ will premiere in 2024, presumably between March and June, although at the moment these figures are not confirmed and for most of this year the story tapings will take place, where there will certainly be some filtered photos of the reunion between Matt Murdock and Frank Castle, aka The Punisher.
