When Nintendo released Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games for Nintendo Switch Online and Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass, a game revealed for the future was Metroid Fusion. Now, Nintendo has revealed that you’ll be able to play that title on March 8! This is pretty substantial because it means that starting March 8, you can play all five cores Metroid games on the same console. The original Metroid it’s on NES, Metroid II it’s on GB, Supermetroid it’s on SNES, Metroid Fusion on GBA e Metroid terror on Nintendo Switch. Metroid Fusion is a great game. Here is a brief synopsis.
In Metroid Fusion, interstellar bounty hunter Samus Aran is attacked by an X-parasite while exploring the mysterious planet SR388. Not only is this organism deadly, but it can mimic the abilities of any creature it infects, including Samus herself! Rescued from the brink by an infusion of Metroid DNA, the X-parasite’s only natural predator, she soon discovers that the parasite has spread to the research station orbiting SR388. Weakened and out of options, Samus must do whatever it takes to destroy Threat X before it’s too late.
Take on this critical mission alongside Samus and experience classic Metroid gameplay as you explore a massive research station teeming with hostile life forms. Collect power-ups, including favorites like Morph Ball and Screw Attack, discover a multitude of secrets, and experience the adventure that connects Super Metroid™ to Metroid Dread. But watch out, because the fearsome SA-X, an unstoppable X-parasite who mimics Samus, is on the loose… and he’s coming for you.
In view of Metroid terrori have tried and played all the main games of the Metroid franchise. I replaced Metroid AND Metroid II with their makeovers Metroid: Mission Zero AND Metroid: Samus Returns respectively, but it was a great experience. The games are all absolutely fantastic and well worth playing. While Metroid terror it’s my favourite, Metroid Fusion it’s a close second and I can’t recommend it enough. The games have depth, but don’t take up too much time. I was able to get through all four in about two months.
You are excited about playing all core Metroid do you play on switch? Which is your favorite? Will you see and play them all again?
