Academy Award nominated actress Sigourney Weaverknown for her roles in aliens, ghost BusterAND Avatarshas signed on to star in a new movie titled The throat. He joins previously announced co-stars Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen’s Gambit, Last night in Soho) AND Miles Teller (Flick, Top Gun: nonconformist). Scott Derrickson (Doctor Strange, THE Black phone) is on board to direct with Zack Dean writing the script, which he sold on spec to Skydance last year.

The throat marks the latest collaboration for Skydance and Teller after his starring role in Top Gun: nonconformist. Skydance and Dean also recently teamed up Tomorrow’s War.
Weaver is coming off a busy 2022 that includes his sequel return Avatar: The Way of Water.as well as two other films hitting film festivals including Paul Schrader’s Master Gardener and the Sundance photo Call Jane.
