Wolfe Releasing Acquires Minerva Pictures’ LGBTQIA+ Dramedy ‘Blessed Boys (La Santa Piccola)’ Ahead of North American Release in Tribeca

SpecialWolfe Releasing wins North American rights to Italian LGBTQIA+ drama Blessed Children (La Santa Piccola) Minerva Pictures plans to release the film in theaters and digitally in the fall on June 11, before its North American premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Writer-director Sylvia Brunel’s first feature film centers around two 18-year-old friends, Mario (Vincenzo Antonucci) and Lino (Francesco Pellegrino), who were born and raised in Naples’ Sanita district and have never left their small town. They lead a simple life until Lino’s younger sister Analus (Sophia Guastaffero) convinces the villagers that Lino has performed a miracle and begins to worship him as a living saint. The fate of his family suddenly changes: Mario realizes that he is in love with Lino, who is unaware of it, and tries to find a way out of his routine life.
