It’s the end of an era for Rachel Ray. The 54-year-old chef’s daytime talk show, rachael ray show, is coming to an end after 17 seasons. Rachael confirmed the news to New York mail Friday 3 March. “In my 20+ years in television, I’ve had 17 wonderful seasons working on daytime television with ‘Rachael,'” the statement read. “However, I’ve decided it’s time to move on to the next exciting chapter in my television career.”
Rumors about Rachael’s show ending started in January, thanks to information from Page six. “His show is ending. This will be the last season,” an industry source told the publication. However, a show source denied the rumors, saying page six, “This conference is held every year because the show is renewed every year. In fact, right now they are revamping the program. There is never a decision until late spring. A representative of the program also said page six that the show has not been cancelled.
rachael ray show premiered on September 18, 2006 and ran for 17 seasons in New York City. Rachael has welcomed a number of celebrity guests to his show, like Jake Gyllenhaal, Reba McEntire, Kate Hudson, and more, over the years. In March 2020, Rachael had to start hosting the show from her home with her husband, Giovanni Cusimano, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The show returned to the studio in October 2021.
Rachael’s Talk Show has won two Daytime Emmy Awards out of 16 nominations. It won Best Talk/Entertainment in 2010 and Best Talk/Informational in 2019. After this latest win, Rachael’s husband shared a photo of their dog Isaboo curled up in bed with the Emmy trophy.
