The first episode of Daisy Jones and the six follows the band’s origins in Pittsburgh as Daisy discovers her love of music in Los Angeles. It was actually Graham’s idea to start the band, but Billy soon became the leader of the Dunne Brothers. Billy doesn’t have the easiest time when the band is trying to make a name for themselves. At a concert, he comes face to face with his drunken father who has walked out on him and Graham.

Things change for Billy when he meets Camila at a laundromat. Eddie had known Camila since childhood and it was quite evident that he had always had feelings for her. Meanwhile, Daisy has started writing songs, but she becomes a habit where her current boyfriends steal her material. She doesn’t want to be the muse. She wants to be someone. She daisy also meets Simone, who she says she changed her life.

The Dunne brothers finally meet keyboardist Karen Sirko and Graham is immediately smitten. Rod Reyes, a tour manager, encourages Billy to write love songs about everything else and go to Los Angeles. At the same time, Daisy finally decides to take her music seriously and play for herself. Suddenly, in a strip bar, Daisy is reborn.

Tip 2: I’ll take you there

Billy, Graham, Eddie, Warren and Camila show up at Rod’s door in Los Angeles wearing pink glasses. Rod gives them a firm reality check to get their name out there. They ask Karen to join the gang and move into a house in Laurel Canyon together. As the band starts playing regular shows at Filthy McNasty’s, Billy starts drinking more and more.

Karen asks to change the band name because most of the band members are not Dunnes. Karen is the one that comes with The Six. Without Pete on the show, the “sixth” person is Camila, the band’s photographer. Daisy and the gang first cross paths at a Los Angeles restaurant, but their lives haven’t quite matched up yet.

Billy asks him to give the band a chance. With one performance, Teddy knows he’s found something special. The Six have recorded an album and are about to go on tour when Camila reveals she is pregnant. Camila and Billy get married that night, but they don’t exactly make it to the honeymoon stage.

Billy and the band go on tour, but Billy goes haywire. He goes crazy, gets involved in drugs and drinking. Camila finally decides to track down the gang after sensing something strange and catches him with other women. She confronts him and asks him to appear to her and her son.

After one show, it’s clear that Billy is a complete and utter mess. Teddy shows up to tell her that Camila has had the baby. He takes Billy to the hospital, but Billy doesn’t want to meet his daughter, Julia, like this. Her daughter’s first introduction to her father can’t be him as a drunk loser. Instead, Teddy takes Billy to rehab.

Track 3: Someone saved my life tonight

Teddy listens to Daisy’s demo at her house. He doesn’t say much after listening to her. He wants to know what he thinks about it. “I like it, Daisy. A lot,” Teddy tells him. He wants to keep making records. Teddy says he needs 10 more songs, so Daisy gets to work.

Billy is released from rehab in 1974. Graham picks him up and takes him home. When Graham talks about his time with Julia while Billy was away, Billy breaks down in tears for all that he has lost. Billy comes home and takes an awkward trip home with Camila and her mother. He finally meets Julia, and Camila is definitely protecting her heart right now. She doesn’t want Billy to break it again.

After the tour was cancelled, the label dropped the band. Everyone had to start over. Graham, Karen, Warren and Eddie are waiting for Billy to return. He ruins their plans when he says he’s leaving the band. Graham tries to dissuade him, but Billy insists. Graham refuses to tell the others. Billy has to do it himself. Teddy visits Billy and tells him that he is “doing the right thing”.

The gang decides to try and replace Billy. Eddie’s audition for lead vocals isn’t going well and it’s not bad. Graham, Karen and Warren know it’s something they can work with. Meanwhile, Simone and Daisy attend a party where Simone meets Bernie, who works at a New York club. Daisy also finds her ex “tripped over Sublime” and pushes him into the pool. At another party, Karen tells Graham that she doesn’t like attachments and expectations in a relationship. Graham is clearly in love with Karen, but hasn’t revealed her feelings for her.

Billy and Camila finally talk it all over. She tells him how hurt she is by what she did. “I confronted him and I didn’t walk away,” she tells him. Camila asks Billy what she’s afraid of and he’s afraid of letting her daughter down. “Welcome to the club,” Camila tells him. Billy finally spends time with Julia and Camila opens her heart to him.

Eddie asks Camila how things are with Billy. She asks him if he has ever been in love with her before. He doesn’t answer the question (but we all know the answer). “You don’t stop loving someone just because things get tough. At least not me,” he says. At Christmas, Billy tells the band he’d like to play something for them. Eddie is initially hesitant because Billy said he was out. Billy brings his music to Teddy. The music is good but not enough to cause of the tour debacle.

But Teddy has an idea. He brings the song to Daisy and she works on it. Teddy decides to bring Daisy into the band as a female singer. Billy isn’t excited, not at all. Billy goes into the studio with a distant attitude towards Daisy. The others are watching closely to see what develops.

When Daisy and Billy really start singing, they’re singing different lyrics. Teddy forgot to tell Billy that Daisy was working on the song. Daisy presses Billy on what music really is. She doesn’t think he’s being honest with himself. Billy gets frustrated and leaves. Teddy explains to Billy that he wrote a “good song” but not a “great” one. The record company actually said no to this song, and Teddy is paying for this session because he loves Billy and the band.

Billy doesn’t think Teddy is right about Daisy, but he’ll give her a chance. He goes back to the studio and Teddy says there’s noise on his mic, so Billy needs to share with Daisy. teddy bear knows exactly what you are doing.

Daisy tries to strike up a conversation, but Billy can’t. “I was going to say I love the sound of your voice,” Daisy says. As he sings “Honeycomb,” Billy can’t take his eyes off Daisy. For better or for worse, Billy knows Teddy is right. There is an undeniable spark that has been ignited.

Later, Billy calls Camila. He asks how the study session went. “A nightmare,” says Billy. “Yeah, it was all a total flop.” You can’t help but lie in this case. As for Daisy, he calls it “the best day of my life.”
