HBO will soon shelve the first season of its new hit, ‘The Last of Us’, but it doesn’t intend to leave us orphaned with the Monday series for long. On March 27, the fourth season of ‘Succession’ will begin airing, which unfortunately we already know will be the last. LThe series created by Jesse Armstrong has released its final trailer:
In the last chapters of this commercial soap opera we will find the Roys again divided over the sale of Waystar Royco to Lukas Matsson, the millionaire played by Alexander Skarsgård. What role will they play when the family business is no longer theirs? Will the egos of Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Shia (Sarah Snook), Roman (Kieran Culkin) and Connor (Alan Ruck) take a back seat?
In addition to the brothers, Brian Cox will also return as the patriarch, Logan Roy. Matthew Macfadyen and Nicholas Braun will, of course, be playing Tom and Cousin Greg again. Skarsgard, Cherry Jones, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Arian Moayed, Julianna Canfield, Stephen Root, Hope Davis and Justin Kirk round out the cast. The fourth and final season of ‘Succession’ will consist of ten episodes.
Will there be a spin-off?
Is the end of ‘Succession’ the end of your universe? Things are not very clear because, as in the series, there are two warring factions. While the creator claims to have an idea to create a spin-off based on one of the protagonists or one of the central themes of the seriesHBO boss Casey Boys isn’t so sure: “I don’t think there’s anything in ‘Succession’ to say ‘we will only follow this son’ or anything like that”. For now, we’ll have to settle for the fourth season of the award-winning original series, arriving on HBO Max on March 27.
