Disneyland has many stellar attractions, but “The Haunted Mansion” is the one that stands out the most. So much so that the attraction had its own film adaptation in 2003, The Haunted Mansion, albeit usually in reverse. This 2023, twenty years later, will arrive on the big screen ‘Haunted Mansion’, Reboot Of Original Movie That Has An All-Star Cast And Promises A Supernatural Experience Drenched With Comedy. Walt Disney Studios has already released the trailer for this fun bet, which will be released exclusively in theaters on July 28th.
In the trailer we see that Rosario Dawson is Gabbie, a single mother who wants to start a new life with her nine-year-old son. To their surprise, they find a villa they can afford, but it doesn’t take long to understand why the price was so low: the house is full of ghosts and they will have to exorcise it if they intend to live there. To do so, the protagonist will ask for help from anyone who will help him, from a widowed paranormal expert (LaKeith Stanfield), a priest (Owen Wilson) and a psychic (Tiffany Haddish).
The rest of the cast includes big surprises, such as Danny DeVito and Jamie Lee Curtis, and we know that we will also see Winona Ryder, Dan Levy, Jared Leto.
a perfect duo
Katie Dippold, screenwriter of ‘Parks and Recreation’ and ‘Ghostbusters’ signs the script, which has Justin Simien, creator of ‘Dear Whites’ to address. Simien enthusiastically recalls working an entire summer at Disneyland considering it “The Best Summer Job I’ve Ever Had”and reports it when he wasn’t working he rode his favorite ride, which was neither more nor less than “The Haunted Mansion”. It is clear that between Dippold’s experience in ‘Ghostbusters’ and how well Simien knows the attraction that inspires the film, they both form the perfect duo to make ‘Haunted Mansion’ which, remember, will be released on July 28 in Spain.
