Universal Pictures has announced the release date of The Super Mario Bros. Movie it was brought forward by two days. The film was originally supposed to be released on Friday April 7th and will now be released on Wednesday April 5th. There’s no reason why, but April 7 is Good Friday, so perhaps that played a part in the decision to move the release date.

Also, Chris Pratt AND Charlie Daywho voice Mario and Luigi in the film, tease the backlash of their voices for the characters, and show different voices.

The video shows Pratt and Day with Mario and Luigi filters on their faces. Pratt then jokes about how everyone can’t wait to hear his Mario voice, before delivering a classic “It’s me, Mario” in a very gruff and soulful tone. Day then shared his rumor from Luigi, saying nothing. He’s just speaking words.

The film is also the protagonist Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Black Jack as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key like toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson such as Kamek, e Sebastian Maniscalco like Spike.

It was directed by Aaron Horvath AND Michael Jelenic (Teen Titans Go!, Teen Titans Go! At Cinema) from a script by Matthew Fogel (The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, Minions: The Rise of Gru).
