‘The Strangers’ is the eerie true story that inspired Netflix’s horror drama

This the social horror drama has real inspirationa story that has long troubled the creator of this film, as revealed by Nathaniel Martello-White in an interview with the medium Radio Times, since he points out that to write this plot he based the life of his mother, who she describes as a biracial woman who in a way ran away from her origin.

She’s also biracial, and she was talking to me about her experiences of crossing different cultures and classes and sometimes being perceived as almost white, and how people would treat her,” reveals the director.

Similarly, the British director indicates that he was really disturbed and surprised by the complexities told by his mother, since he could not believe that someone felt the need to erase his past and deny it, a situation that led him to write the horror and drama movies ‘Foreigners’, which became a quick hit on Netflix.
