

“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” goes down in Marvel history as the franchise’s worst flop – Marvel (Special)
In the list of most anticipated films of 2023, ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania’ assigns a very special place to fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, however in its second weekend the tape marked history as the superhero franchise’s worst failure and received negative reviews.
In its first weekend, “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania” was positioned as the most successful Ant-Man filmat the same time that it broke the record as February’s highest-grossing film at the box office, however, things completely changed in the second weekend of the month and the takings dropped significantly.
In its second weekend, “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania” is positioned as the film’s Marvel Studios with the worst drop in a week that any other UCM production has had in more than 10 years since the beginning of the infinity saga, thus spectacularly failing and completely surprising the fans.

For their part, the specialized critics shared their opinion on the story and production of this film. new superhero movie and currently has a 48% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, making it the second-lowest rated Marvel film. The other is 2021’s “Eternals” with 47%.
“Ant-Man 3” was very important to the MCU
The most striking detail about the resounding failure of “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania” is that the film not only marks the beginning of Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but also introduces the next big villain of the central story, played by the famous actor Jonathan Majors.
This would mean a mega triumph for Marvel at the box office and is estimated to have been the reason why the first weekend on the bill this film was a success but the truth is with the story and the production, the house of ideas has disappointed by critics and the public, as revealed by the reviews and opinions that have been published on social networks since its premiere.
In May 2023, Marvel Studios will return to the cinema screen with another sequel ‘Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3’ which will close this intergalactic superhero franchise, and promises to be a resounding success, but with the disappointment of ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ it seems that it will be difficult to win back the affection of the public.
