TED Ed has released a fascinating video that takes an informative dive into the field of cryobiology and explores the possibility of humans being frozen and preserved so they can be resurrected in the future. This has always been a crazy concept to think about!
I remember growing up and hearing rumors that Walt Disney’s head was frozen so that one day he could be brought back to life. As a kid it was the craziest, most shocking thing he’s ever heard!
In 1967, “James Bedford had a plan to cheat death. She was the first person to be cryogenically frozen. This process promised to preserve his body until a theoretical future in which humanity could cure any disease and, essentially, reverse death. So is it possible to freeze a human being, store them indefinitely, and then thaw them?
In the video, Shannon N. Tessier explores the challenges of human cryopreservation. Check it out!
