Tom Holland would return for ‘Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse’ according to the insider

Marvel’s true multiverse was released in “No Way Home,” the film that did the seemingly impossible, bringing together three generations of Spider-Man into one story. Since then, the concept has evolved so much that now Sony is said to want to repeat the comedy and bring back Tom Holland as Peter Parker in ‘Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse’.

According to Collider reporter Jeff Sneider (via The Direct), he does Tom Holland would be there ‘Spiderman: Through the Spider-Verse’. Recall that the Sony movie is set to release next June and they promised it would show more than 200 Spider-Men on screen, which wouldn’t be unreasonable then for Holland’s version to appear in the MCU among all of them.

According to the insider’s statement, “I heard that part of the delay of [Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse] it was about including Tom Holland in that film, and the dimension Miles could end up in is a live-action dimension with which [Spider-Man] by Tom Holland,” writes the journalist.

It is worth mentioning that in Collider they had announced that Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire would return in “No Way Home”, a year before the premiere of the Disney and Sony film. So, even if it’s not confirmed, it’s very possible to see Holland in ‘Across the Spider-Verse’ because the actor recently signed a deal to appear in a new trilogy at UCM.

Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire in ‘Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse’?

currently there are no confirmations that Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire also appear In ‘Spiderman: Through the Spider-Verse’, but with everything brewing regarding this multiversal event, it wouldn’t be strange to see a cameo from the three reunited actors as Peter Parker on the big screen.

Since the release of ‘No Way Home’, there has been a lot of talk about the continuation of the sagas starring Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. There are even rumors that Maguire would have recorded some scenes for ‘Madame Web’, but the situation with Sony’s Spiderman has not been clarified.

Either way, ‘Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse’ will show 240 Spider-Man on screen, so there’s sure to be plenty of material for those who want to see many variations of the arachnid. It opens on June 2, 2023 and a new trailer for the film should arrive soon.
