We didn’t talk about it The Venture Bros. long since! This has been such a fun series to watch for the past two decades, and there’s more in the works with an upcoming movie coming to HBO Max. At least I hope so! I have not heard that it was cancelled.
In a recent interview with Paste, Patrick Waburtonthe voice behind fan-favorite character Brock Samson, spoke about his character and shared his thoughts on what Brock would do with his retirement.
The upcoming Venture Bros. the film will most likely end the story, and when Warburton was asked if he was ready to say goodbye to this character he’s been playing all these years, he said:
“Never! Though one year I decided to go to Comic Con in San Diego, and I decided to go as Shore Leave instead of Brock. I was with my son Shane, and he also went as Shore Leave, so we must have really looked wacky together. No one even recognized me; people were taking pictures of themselves thinking I was just a fan dressed up as Shore Leave.”
Warburton then discussed Brock’s perfect retirement plan, and thinks the character deserves to relax. He shared:
“If he retires, I see him going somewhere far and remote. He’s just getting away from all the violence and super science. Just not having to babysit those kids who never grew up would probably be a good vacation for him.”
In the film, “Doc’s latest invention will either bankrupt the Ventures or launch them to new heights, as Hank searches for himself, Dean searches for Hank, The Monarch searches for answers, and a mysterious woman from their past threatens to bring their entire world crashing into them.
The Venture Bros. is created, written and executive produced by Jackson Publick AND Doctor Hammer. The movie was announced two years ago and I hope it ends up coming out soon!
