EXCLUSIVE: Trinity Media Financing is consolidating its market presence and moving to a new name, Trinity Media Films, to provide full financing for English-language films with budgets ranging from $2 million to $60 million.
The Los Angeles and France-based company, led by CEO Morgan Emmery, has credits including 2022 The stranger which premiered in Cannes in Un Certain Regard and won two awards from the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts; as well as that of 2020 flash backanimated picture CharlotteThriller of 2021 Every breath you takeThe biopic of Jesse Owen race and action/crime film Exaggerate. Trinity says it will soon offer Gary Shore Horror/Mystery The Queen Mary to buyers and aggressively pursue new opportunities.
Emmery: “The number of financing parties in the independent space is shrinking and the business is shifting. To take advantage of these new possibilities, we decided to take our model to the next level. With Trinity Media Films, we can now reverse and expand our strategy, fully fund films and offer agencies and producers a one-stop shop.”
He continues: “We are a boutique company. Our structure is streamlined and we pride ourselves on being fast and efficient. As financiers and producers, we offer an efficient approach in structuring funding, maximizing national and regional incentives, supporting talent presentations on behalf of producers, etc.
As part of the new structure, Julian Gross, who began his career at CAA, followed by Alex Kurtzman’s Secret Hideout, and spent the past five years at Trinity Media Financing, will be promoted to EVP of Trinity Media Films. “This new iteration of TMF is a natural progression that allows us to have a stronger presence in the market. We look forward to the new opportunities ahead,” he says.
