‘Vicious Bear’: Cocaine-addicted bear movie first reviews promise ‘best comedy of 2023’

In its quest, more than one person will fall victim to its claws and fangs. The first reviews of ‘Vicious Bear’ have already come out and, in general, they are very positive. As was to be expected, taking into account the plot presented to us, no opinion reveals that it is a film that will change our lives, but it is one of those that make you laugh more than once and keep you entertained all the time.

‘Vicious Bear’: Cocaine-addicted bear movie first reviews promise ‘best comedy of 2023’

Rafael Motamayor, of Slashfilm, does not cut a hair and the to define AS “Best film of the year so far.” Add that “It’s exciting when it works like a slasher, but with a bear, it’s also exciting a hilarious absurdist comedy”. Jack Kennedy, of Big Time Movies, agrees with Motamayor and Explain that “Vicious Bear” delivers what people want from a movie about a cocaine-addicted killer bear, lots of laughs: “It’s my favorite movie of the year. Funniest thing I’ve seen in 2 years, wonderful. If your cinematic experience is anything like my projection, you will have a great time at the cinema.” When asked by a Twitter user whether his criticism is serious or wavering, Kennedy replies: “Seriously”.

For his part, Phil Nobile, director of Fangoria, falls short of the two previous critics, but reveals which is a film with many more layers than we imagine: “There’s a whole weird world that ‘Vicious Bear’ takes place in that isn’t even hinted at in the trailer. There’s too much shit going on beyond the bear, which makes a lot of sense in hindsight. I’m glad that a character in the film calls the bear a “fierce bear.” Chirs Aguilar of Big Screen stands outas Nobile also does, a specific scene: “‘Vicious Bear’ is the best comedy of 2023 so far, the bloody high-speed madness we left behind in the 90s has been brought back to life. It wastes the cast a bit, but Margo Martindale is incredible. The ambulance scene is historic for horror lovers!”

While many other critics agree that the cast doesn’t take full advantage of it, many others, like that of MSB extensionfrom Conversation on Cinema, agrees that the film lives up to what the trailer promises: “‘Vicious Bear’ delivers what is expected of it: a completely mad bear wreaking bloody havoc while doing the dumbest things imaginable. A totally absurd but extremely funny moment where nothing else matters but the cocaine-addicted bear.”
