Karen Gillan is set to star next Russell Crowe in the upcoming cold case crime drama Sleeping dogsand will be joined by Marton Csokas (The Lord of the Rings), Harry Greenwood (Hacksaw crest) AND Thomas M. Wright (On top of the lake).

The film is an adaptation of the critically acclaimed novel by EO Chirovici, The book of mirrorsand the screenplay is written by Adam Cooper AND BillCollage (Assassin’s Creed, Exodus: Gods and Kings). Cooper will also direct and this will mark his directorial debut.
In the story, “On the heels of a cutting-edge treatment for Alzheimer’s, Crowe’s character, a former homicide detective, is tasked with re-examining a brutal murder case from his past: the gruesome murder of a college professor ( Csokas). Struggling to regain his memory, the detective enlists his former partner to help revive the investigation. They meet a magnetic and mysterious woman (Gillan), a tangle of contradictions and secrets and a horrific reality that changes the detective’s worldview in the blink of an eye.
As a fan of crime thrillers, this sounds like it might be interesting. It definitely has a great cast attached to it!
