Now is the time to look to the future and learn about science fiction films that will be released in 2023 and those that are among the most anticipated by all fans of the genre in the world.

It must be said that for sci-fi movie coming out in 2023 We have not considered superhero movies, because although ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ has all the elements of the genre, it belongs to this type of story which is told in a totally separate category. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

After 6 films in the series, the saga started by Michael Bay with Megan Fox and Shia LaBeaouf will undergo a new reboot, now with one of the most anticipated sci-fi movie of the year. It is about ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’, which will be directed by Steven Caple Jr, and starring Anthony Ramos, where a new type of robot, the Maximals, will be introduced. It opens on June 9th.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes

After 6 years of not knowing anything about the dystopian franchise with Jennifer Lawrence, ‘The Hunger Games’ is preparing its comeback with ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’, which is a spin-off of the series and will star Hunter Schafer, Rachel Zegler, Viola Davis, Peter Dinklage, among many others. It opens on November 17th.

Elementary

This 2023 will mark the return of Disney and Pixar to the big screen with one of the most anticipated movies in his recent filmography. This is ‘Elemental’, a story in which the studio once again takes an ambiguous concept to give it shape in this multi-being story based on natural elements, centered around a girl of fire and a young man of water. It opens on June 16th.

This year he returns to raise goosebumps in cinemas with ‘Meg 2: The Trench’, the sequel which will present an even bigger and more menacing Megalodon than what could be seen in the first part. It opens on August 4th.

Dunes: part 2

And finally, not just one of the most anticipated sci-fi films of 2023, but one of the most anticipated films overall. This is “Dune: Part 2”, again with Timothée Chalamet, and in which Denis Villeneuve will continue to expand the world of Frank Herbert, with new landscapes and the addition of actors such as Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Léa Seudoux and Christopher Walken.
