STRAY GODS: THE ROLE-PLAYING MUSICAL announced for release this year

Humble Games and Summerfall Studios have announced their highly anticipated game Stray Gods: The RPG Musical it will come out this year. I’ve been following this game for a few years now and I’m so excited to hear that I’ll finally be able to play it soon. This unique sounding game will allow players to make many different choices on how to achieve their ends in the game through interactive musical events. Here is the official synopsis:

Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical is an interactive musical role-playing game set in a modern fantasy world where the Greek gods live hidden among us. Grace, a college dropout, is quickly drawn into that world when she is granted the power of a Muse, power she will need to uncover the truth behind the death of her predecessor. The choices players make as they spell, trade, or navigate their way through the game, including original and fully interactive musical numbers, will impact their path to the end. Along the way, players will shape the soundtrack to their own unique musical experience as they help Grace find her own voice, determining who she allies with, who she can trust, and who may betray her. With four potential lovers, players can even stoke the fire of romance and explore, pursue, and confess their love.

It feels like such a unique game and I’m here for it. The game is written by David Gauder (Dragon Age, KotOR) featuring songs by the Grammy-nominated composer Austin Wintory (Journey, Banner Saga); Scott Edgar, Steven Gates AND Simon Hall of tripod; and Australian art pop musician and Twitch streamer Montaigne (Jess Cerro). Slutty Baker it’s voice directing and so far the game is starring Laura Bailey like Grace, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, and many more game, television and Broadway cast members to be revealed soon.
