Tara Reidbest known for her roles in teen films like Urban myth AND american piewill star in and produce a series adaptation of The story of the pet sitter. Based on the tales of Laura Vorreyerthe comedy series will be titled Walking in Los Angeles. The books are a collection of short stories by her about her love of pets from when she was a little girl growing up in Chicago to inadvertently becoming a professional pet sitter in Los Angeles
The logline reads:
Walking in Los Angeles follows the pleasant story of redemption of the protagonist from magical thinking Lucy who, fired from the job of her dreams and dumped by her boyfriend, moves on a whim to the City of Angels in search of something better. Upon landing in Los Angeles, she Lucy discovers that she needs “connections” to do just about anything, and that self-discovery and reinvention will require more than just hope and determination. Luck finds Lucy when a chance encounter with famed talk show host Angela Noble, played by Reid, sets in motion a comical and uplifting journey from fish-out-of-water dreamer to extraordinarily successful entrepreneur. Based on Vorreyer’s life story and 20+ year career as a celebrity pet sitter, Walking in Los Angeles blends girl power comedy with fantasy reality, with cameos from celebrities and their pets as Lucy builds her star-studded client list.
Reid has been busy over the years on various projects and many TV movies, but it’s been a while since I’ve seen her. Sounds like a fun project for anyone who loves animals. Sound like a series you’d like to check out?
