Netflix has released a full trailer for the second season of the popular fantasy adventure series Shadow and bones. If you enjoyed Season 1, it looks like fans are going to love what’s in store for Season 2!
The series is based on Leigh Bardugo’S Grishaverse novels, and the story is set in “a world ravaged by war and focuses on orphaned and humble soldier Alina Starkov as she unleashes an extraordinary power that may be the key to freeing her country from the monstrous threat of the Shadow Fold, even if she finds herself torn from everything she knows to train as part of the Grisha, an elite army of magical soldiers. Struggling to grasp her powers while avoiding a group of charismatic criminals out to capture her, Alina discovers that allies and enemies could be one and the same and that nothing in the lavish world is what it seems.
In the sequel, “To have a fighting chance against General Kirigan and his seemingly indestructible new army, Alina Starkov and Mal Oretsev gather their powerful new allies and begin a journey across the continent in search of two mythical creatures who will amplify his powers. Back in Ketterdam, the chance of a killing blow sends the Ravens once again on a collision course with the legendary Sun Summoner.
Season 2 features the return of Jesse Mei Li like Alin, Archie Renaux like Mal, Freddie Carter as Kaz Brekker, Amita Suman like Inej Ghafa, Kit Young like Jesper, Ben Barnes such as Darkling, e Zoe Wanamaker like Bagra. They will be joined by Lewis Tan (Mortal combat) as Tolya Yul-Bataar, Anna Leong Brophy (Tracks) as Tamar Kir-Bataar, Patrick Gibson (The OA) as Nikolai Lantsov, and Jack Wolfe (The sorcerer) as Wylan Hendriks.
Shadow and bones Season 2 will debut on March 16, 2023 only on Netflix.
