The day we wrote that song, I would say, was the day that changed the way I look at songwriting and the way I look at my career,” Jordan said. hollywood life in an EXCLUSIVE interview ahead of the release of their highly anticipated album bluebird days. “I started writing more honestly, writing from my heart. This is really the biggest shift in how I look at songwriting since “Buy Dirt.” That’s why I love composers that I loved as a kid, and now I have the opportunity to do that. Be as honest as possible, and I feel like I’ve done that on this album.”
The 17-song album includes Jordan’s latest No. 1, “What My World Spins Around,” and of course his smash hit “Buy Dirt,” which received multiple awards, including Song of the Year at the CMA Awards. and as a Billboard, AMA, iHeart, and ACM Award nomination and has over 900 million views to date. “We’ve talked a lot about this album being about the past, present and future, and we’ve been trying to put out songs to show that,” she explained. “‘Next Thing You Know’ definitely touches on all of those things, and where they are now and how fast life goes.”
The Louisiana native continued, “‘What My World Spins Around’ is also about how grateful I am for doing it, but if the wife says, ‘Hey, hang up, go back to mowing the lawn and stay home,’ I might as well . . It would hurt, but I should. I think we just try to draw on some of those that when the album comes out, we dive into them a little bit more.”

The title track “Bluebird Days” examines Jordan’s life as a child of divorced parents, while his song “Short Fuse” shows fans a side of him that he usually keeps to himself.
