[on the show] that he was much stronger than he thought, that he wasn’t weak. I started believing all of these things, probably the worst things people were saying about me, and started working on reminding myself that it’s not true.

Hannah admitted that as she overcame the mental and physical hardships of the tests, she “forgot” that she was “on a TV show the whole time,” saying, “That was it for me.” And that’s what kept me going.” Special forces follows various celebrities of different genders, deep in the Jordanian desert, who are tasked with completing and surviving various training exercises led by a team of ex-Special Forces operatives. It’s probably gotten me through some of the hardest things I’ve ever been through, whether I’ve failed or been successful,” Hannah continued. “But being able to get through it, I feel like I’ve made a lot of mistakes, been through a lot difficult times, but I made the decision to move forward even though I struggled with my depression.”

Hannah revealed that she never lost sight of her “why” for joining Special forces, and through the many trials she had to face, she said to herself: “I am in a lot of pain right now. I do not feel well. It’s a very bad day, but I know it will end. I know the pain will end. Is about to end. So don’t give up when it really hurts because I’m going to regret it if I do.” It was this thought process that earned her credit for helping her get through the competition, as well as other struggles she’s faced in her life.
“I’m very, very hard on myself and have a really hard time feeling ‘enough’ and that has helped me find some confidence in that, no I haven’t been lucky with all these experiences… I bring something to the table and that’s why I’m here now,” he continued. “I learned to believe in myself.”
