HBO has released a new promotional teaser and photo for True Detective: Night Countryand introduces us to the main detective characters of history played by Jodie Foster AND Kali Reis. As you can see, they are investigating in the darkness of the Arctic.

The next series in the franchise comes from Issa Lopez (Tigers are not afraid), and centers on detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro “who are trying to solve the case of six men who run the Tsalal Arctic Research Station who disappear without a trace, when the long winter night falls on Ennis, in Alaska”.
It is explained that “The pair will have to face the darkness they carry within themselves and delve into the haunted truths that lie buried beneath the eternal ice.”
The series is also starring John Hawkes (Deadwood, Winter Bone), Christopher Eccleston (Leftovers), Fiona Shaw (Eve killing), Finn Bennett (Dominate) AND Anna Lambé (Three Pines).
This will be the show’s first season without a creator Nic Pizzolatto. I’ve enjoyed the stories that have been told in this franchise, and this one seems to be interesting and intense! Check out the teaser below.
