POKER FACE is renewed for a second season at the Peacock

Poker face is a recent show by Rian Johnson available to watch on Peacock. It’s on my short list of shows to watch when I have a minute to actually pay attention to a show. Overall it has garnered positive reviews and the trailers look very entertaining. Recently, Peacock announced this Poker face is getting a second season just before its seventh episode. Here is a brief synopsis of the first season:

Poker Face is a 10-episode mystery of the week series that follows Natasha Lyonne’s Charlie, who has an uncanny ability to determine when someone is lying. She hits the road in her Plymouth Barracuda and at each stop she encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes that she can’t help but solve.

Susan Rovner of NBCUniversal Television and Streaming said the following regarding the second season:

Poker Face is one of those rare and undeniable shows that we all fell in love with from the start, but the critical acclaim and viewer response has been beyond our wildest dreams. Working alongside the creative genius of Rian Johnson, Natasha Lyonne and Ram Bergman, along with our partners at MRC and T-Street, has been a spectacular journey and we can’t wait to hit the road for another season as we continue to build momentum through Peacock’s original list.

New episodes of Poker face they are launching weekly on Peacock through March 9th. The series is the protagonist Natasha Lyon (who also serves as an executive producer) and is created, written, directed and produced by Johnson.
