When it comes to divorce in Hollywood, things can get messy quickly, especially when a fortune is at stake. Splitting too much money can lead to lengthy court battles and cumbersome settlements. And don’t even get us started on the prenups!

Take the turbulent divorce of Johnny Depp AND amber heard. Despite only being married for 15 months, she Amber walked away with a legal settlement worth $7 million, which she promptly donated to charity. But the drama was far from over.

After Amber accused Johnny of domestic violence, he turned around and sued her for defamation. The highly publicized trial resulted in Johnny being awarded $15 million in damages. He initially appealed the matter, before settling with his ex in December 2022, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.

The situation returned in November 2022, when Johnny lost a defamation case against Sun. The newspaper labeled him a “lady beater” and the judge found the allegation essentially true.
