‘Captain America: New World Order’: Harrison Ford’s Thaddeus Ross will be the president of the United States

Following William Hurt’s death last year, Harrison Ford has joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe to play Thaddeus Ross, a character to whom the new studio productions will give a professional twist.

As Kevin Feige revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weeky, in ‘Captain America: New World Order’, Ross will be the president of the United States: “This is certainly an important role”Kevin Feige said, “He’s the president of the United States in the movie. And with Harrison, you think ‘Air Force One,’ and think of some of his fights with the president in “Imminent Peril.” There is a dynamic between President Ross and Sam Wilson. They have a history together, but in this movie we see the dynamic between Captain America and the President of the United States in a way that’s just incredible.”

For Feige, working with Ford is a dream come true he’s been waiting for “ever since Jon Favreau cast him in ‘Cowboys & Aliens’. I’ve always been very jealous, so finally having him in the MCU is just awesome. Now I can cross it off my wish list.” Of course, first we’ll see the actor return as archaeologist and adventurer Henry Walton Jones, Jr. in the fifth installment of the series, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Fate,” which hits theaters on June 30th.

We don’t know what ‘Captain America: New World Order’ has in store for us other than the fact that it picks up the story after the end of ‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier’, where Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson adopts this Avenger’s identity following the death/disappearance of Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers. Whether we’ll see Ross become the Red Hulk of the comics, a reporter asked Ford, who just replied with a smile and gestured indicating that his lips were sealed. We don’t know if Sebastian Stan will return as Bucky, but we do know that Tim Blake Nelson will return as Samuel Sterns/El Líder, Danny Ramirez as Joaquín Torres, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley and Xosha Roquemore in a mysterious role that is said to be very relevant. Directed by Julius Onah from a screenplay by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson, the film is scheduled for release on May 3, 2024.
