Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe presented a major change in this franchise, it introduced the series at the hands of Disney+. What started as a breath of fresh air for Marvel Studios has ended up tiring part of the fandom due to the large number of productions that have been released through the streaming platform. Between series, specials and short films, since 2021, eleven projects have been released in television format, which added to the films, bring the total of Phase 4 to eighteen, close to matching MCU Phases 1, 2, and 3 combined (23 films). 18 projects in two years compared to 23 released between 2008 and 2019.

Kevin Feige assures that Marvel Studios will slow down the premieres of the series in phases 5 and 6

This dynamic of relentless series premieres will change, according to Kevin Feige in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. He promises that in Phases 5 and 6 there won’t be as much series saturation, not just for the audience, but for the sake of these projects: “I think one of the most powerful aspects of being at Marvel Studios is that these movies and shows really hit the zeitgeist. It’s harder to get into the spirit of the times when there’s so much product. We want Marvel Studios and MCU projects to stand out. So, people are going to see that as we move into Phases 5 and 6, the pace at which we’re introducing the Disney+ series will change so that everyone has a chance to shine.”

In the same interview, Feige was asked if that means he Will they release the series with more separation from each other or will they release fewer series per year, to which he replied that “believe” compared to both options. Despite the fact that Marvel Studios has not provided information on some of the series that will be released this year for some time, which could mean that some of them are delayed, it is expected that in 2023 we will see seven series, including us find the second season of “Loki” or “Secret Invasion”. fantastic Four

Among the different titles that Phase 5 and 6 bring with them, one of them is “The Fantastic Four”, a film that will introduce one of the most beloved and important groups in Marvel history to the MCU. It is one of the most anticipated projects by the public for the greatness of the characters and their stories, so it is not surprising that Kevin Feige explains that they will be a fundamental pillar of the franchise: “‘Fantastic 4’ is the foundation of everything that has come since in comics. There have been versions [cinematográficas], but never within the MCU narrative. And that’s something that’s very exciting for us. People will start hearing about it soon. Our plan is for them to become a big mainstay in the MCU going forward, just like they’ve been in the comics for 50 or 60 years.”

“Fantastic Four” is released, directed by Matt Shakman in theaters in February 2025.
