Kevin Feige shares his enthusiasm for THE MARVELS and says Ms. Marvel steals the show

If you were a Marvel fan Mrs. Marvel series, you’ll be happy to hear what President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige had to say about the upcoming film The wonders. Feige is very enthusiastic about the film and says so Iman VellaniKamala Khan from Steal the Show!

During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Feige said, “There’s something immensely powerful about seeing Monica, Kamala and Carol together in one frame. It’s soothing. They’re so amazing together.” She went on to add:

“Kamala Khan, for example, is a great new character in the pantheon. I am very proud of the Ms. Marvel show. I also know – and this is a spoiler – that she essentially steals The Marvels, which is coming out [July 28]. It makes me excited that people will, I hope, see that movie and then go back and see those shows on Disney+ again.”

Brie Larson will return as Carol Danvers in the film and will be joined by Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau. The Ms. Marvel series has received a lot of mixed reactions from fans. I had some issues with it, mostly with regards to the story and how the character was handled, because the way it played out in the comics was so much more engaging and interesting. But I loved Vellani as Kamala Khan, she was so much fun to watch and it will be great to see her in action again.

Feige continued, “The great thing about Kamala in her show, and now in this movie, is that she’s no different than Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in Civil War. She can’t believe she’s with these other heroes, and she can’t I think she’s in these places. And that’s funny because we want to be that. I want to be that.”

I just hope the script and story for The wonders end up being really good! It certainly feels like Vellani’s Ms. Marvel has an opportunity to shine in it.

Nia DaCosta is directing the film from a screenplay written by Megan McDonnell. The film is said to be heavily inspired by the Secret Invasion comic storyline. That means there’s a good chance they’ll tie into Marvel’s Secret invasion Disney+ series. The film is also said to “feature many notable characters from the MCU”, with the film being described as an “Avengers mini-movie”.
