In honor of Atari’s 50th anniversary, Atari is releasing a set of ten Atari 2600 cartridges for hardcore gamers and collectors. The set features reimagined artwork on the cartridges, and when all assembled, they form the Atari 50th Anniversary logo. There’s a trailer for the set that you can watch below.
The games included in the set are Adventure, Missle Command, Warlords, Super Breakout, Crystal Castles, Haunted House, Yar’s Revenge, Centipede, Asteroids and Gravitar.
The collection cost $999.99 and only 100 were made worldwide. Unfortunately, when I saw it, it was out of stock. But I still thought I’d post it to show you what Atari is doing to feed the fans nostalgia for their console, and it works! I love it!
Each limited edition cartridge comes sealed with a premium box, 2600 game cartridge with custom paint and LED top, premium card stock poster, extended instruction manual with bonus material, hard enamel, polyester blend collector’s pin, Collector’s patch embroidered in twill, certificate of authenticity and digital copy of the game playable on the Atari VCS.
