Throughout the entire ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise, some of the biggest actors of the moment have paraded in one or more films. This is the case with Dwayne Johnson, or newcomers Jason Momoa and Brie Larson. Now, Vin Diesel reveals that he would love to have Robert Downey Jr. in the next installment of the franchise, but as the final villain.
During the premiere for the ‘Fast X’ trailer reveal, Variety had an interview with Vin Dieselwhere he revealed the following actor he would like to see join the ‘Fast & Furious’. And without thinking too much about it, his first response was Robert Downey Jr., best known for bringing Tony Stark to life in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
And not only, Vin Diesel wants Robert Downey Jr as the final villain of ‘The fast saga’, which would completely close the story of all the films and who is supposedly behind all the events that have occurred so far. While he declined to reveal further details about whether he has been in talks with the ‘Iron Man’ actor, it is clear that he will seek him out to integrate him into cinema’s most famous family.
“Without telling you too much about what’s next, there’s a character who is the antithesis of Dom who promotes AI and driverless cars and a philosophy that brings your freedom. There is someone who believes that this is the future, and this is in direct disagreement with Toretto’s mentality” Vin Diesel said in an interview.

Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man from ‘Fast and Furious’
With the clues offered by Vin Diesel, everything seems to indicate that it would be this character a kind of Iron Man, a Tony Stark obsessed with technology and the use of smart cars, something like Elon Musk from the “Fast and Furious” universe. But when Diesel was asked if he’d been asked to pitch the character, the ‘Bulletproof Babysitter’ star avoided the answer.
“How dare you ask me that question in front of all these people?” she jokingly told the interviewer. Therefore, it can be guessed that Diesel is already working on what will be the last film in the saga of “Fast and Furious”, which would bring a surprise to the cast of him.
For now, ‘Fast X’ will be the penultimate film in the saga, which had to be split in two because “there’s a lot of ground to cover. There are so many places and so many places in the world that we need to visit,” Vin Diesel said during the press conference. ‘Fast and Furious 10’ will be released on May 19, 2023.
