Luther: The fallen sun it looks like it will be a gripping and intense story that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats. The film is described as “an epic continuation of the award-winning television saga reimagined for cinema”. It looks like it, and I love the feel of it! It almost feels like Batman meets the James Bond type of movie.
The story centers on “a gruesome serial killer is terrorizing London while the brilliant but disgraced detective John Luther sits behind bars. Haunted by his failure to catch the cyber psychopath who now taunts him, Luther decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary.
Elba is joined in the film by Cynthia Erivo, Andy SerkisAND Dermot Crowley, who returns as Martin Schenk. The supporting cast also includes Thomas Coombes, Hattie Morahan, Lauryn AjufoAND Vincent Regano.
Luther: The fallen sun is directed by the screenwriter and television director Jamie Payne from a script written by Neil Cross. Netflix will release the film in theaters first on February 24, 2023, then on Netflix starting March 10.
