A Netflix spokesperson contacted by Deadline said: “We have heard from media reports that the investigation is ongoing and we are currently investigating the situation.”
Per The Korea Times, Yoo is suspected of regularly using propofol, a sleeping pill, for non-medical purposes in violation of the Narcotics Act. Yonhap reported that the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s drug investigation unit questioned the actor on Monday.
Following the news, Yoo’s management company, the United Arts Agency, issued a statement to local press, saying the actor had “faithfully cooperated with the investigation and will explain the problematic points in detail.”
