There is a new sci-fi comedy adventure coming titled Nothing Nobody Nowhere and managed to get a great cast which includes Octavia Spencer, Lucy LiuAND Joseph Gordon Levitt. Written by the talented duo Rachel Wolfer and Alex H. Fischer, this film will be Wolther’s directorial debut.
None Nothing Nowhere is based on a 2018 screenplay by Black List and Sundance Screenwriter Labs and tells the story of Ruth, “one of the Unpeople, human-like beings designed and trained for the sole purpose of filling a realistic world for a bland boy named Dave , the only person who actually exists on Earth. Tired of being an extra in someone else’s life, Ruth is ready to claim a life of her own.”
Wolther and Fischer have previously collaborated on the sci-fi comedy Save yourself!, which was an incredibly funny indie sci-fi comedy! It followed a young couple from Brooklyn who take a trip to an upstate cabin to unplug from reality and while there, the Earth suddenly falls under attack by aliens.
Wolther has also directed several short films, including Snowy Bing Bong all over the North Star Combat Zone, Oh Hi, Pep Talk, sneakersAND Cinema rules everything around me.
Spencer said in an official statement, “Nobody Nothing Nowhere is a completely original feature film that presents a world and its characters in a completely unique way. Having the opportunity to work with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Lucy Liu is a dream come true. reality! It’s always a priority for me and my partners at Orit Entertainment to produce projects that entertain and bring the light, hope and promise that audiences crave. I am thrilled to be a part of such a thoughtful and creative project.”
