‘The Last of Us’ continues to infect with overwhelming success. Ever since the first episode dropped on Jan. 15, fans have been looking forward to every Monday to see Joel and Ellie’s next step in their journey. Well, good news, for the next episode we will have to wait less. The fifth installment will arrive on HBO Max next Saturday, February 11 in the morning, two days earlier than usual.

The episode will premiere on the streaming platform first than on American television. However, this is something that it won’t stand in the five remaining episodes of the season. Normally ‘The Last of Us’ arrives in American homes every Sunday evening, while in Spain it opens at 3 in the morning from Sunday to Monday. Apparently, Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin wouldn’t want to face each other the super bowl finalwhich will be played next Sunday, February 12, in conjunction with the weekly dose of Cordyceps and destruction.
American football celebrates its big night where the Philadelphia Eagles will take on the Kansas Chiefs. According to data shared by audience measurement firm Nielsen, NBC’s Grand Final drew 101 million viewers in its latest edition. A spectacular fact that the duo Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey can’t, or won’t, fight with.
Will the same happen with the Oscar gala?
The end of the ‘The Last of Us’ party is scheduled for March 13th. That same day, the city of Los Angeles and American cinema dressed up for the 94th edition of the Oscars. Moreover, the episode and the ceremony coincide not only in day, but also in time. HBO hasn’t commented on this coincidence yet, nor have Druckman or Mazin. In principle, everything follows the established course, but after this change for the Super Bowl, a possible transfer to another time slot where Cate Blanchett (‘Tár’), Ana de Armas (‘Blonde’), Andrea Riseborough ( ‘To Leslie’ ), Michelle Williams (“The Fabelmans”) and Michelle Yeoh (“All at once, everywhere”) competing for one of 23 gold statuettes to be distributed that night.
