‘Not Dead Yet’ Exclusive Preview: Lauren Ash Walks Into Gina Rodriguez’s Birthday Party

not dead yet opens February 8 and follows Nell, played by gina rodriguez, who tries to start her life over with a new job and a new roommate. She begins writing obituaries for the local newspaper and unexpectedly begins to receive life advice from the subjects of her obituaries. In this EXCLUSIVE preview, Nell of hers isn’t exactly celebrating her best birthday yet.

“Well, I hope it’s not too weird that I ruined your birthday.” Laura Ash Lexi tells Nell. Nell tries to throw it away. “There’s no way. We’re co-workers,” she says.

Lexi can’t help but add, “Well, I’m not really kidding.” Everyone at the table laughs. Lexi continues: “Although, technically, it’s correct. I mean, I’m your boss. But I just want you to know that I will strive to be a different boss than my father was. I mean, it was so distant and out of touch. If I’ve learned anything after breaking my back in the Olympics training the proof is that you are as strong as the horse you are riding.

She turns to Nell and says, “And you… you’re my horse.” It was then that Sam, played by new girl alum hanna simone, joins the conversation, then Lexi stops. “Am I weird and bossy again?” Lexi asks. Sam tells Lexi the truth. “Look, this is why I need you,” Lexi says as Nell answers.

The official synopsis for the premiere reads: “Nell is looking to start her life in a new place with a new job and a new roommate. He starts writing obituaries in the local paper and starts getting advice from an unlikely source.”

The first season will feature special guests such as Ed Begley Jr., martin mull, Rhea Perlmann, brittany snowand more. not dead yet It will premiere in two episodes on February 8 starting at 20:30.
