Trailer for the inspiring George Foreman biopic BIG GEORGE FOREMAN

Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for the upcoming film Big George Foreman: The Miraculous Story of the Former and Future Heavyweight Champion of the World. Foreman is a boxing legend and has led a truly incredible life. This biopic will tell the story of him and it looks like it will be one of those inspirational sports movies that will leave the audience in awe when it ends.

The film is based on the “amazing true story of one of the greatest comebacks of all time and the transformative power of second chances. Fueled by a poor childhood, Foreman channeled his rage into becoming an Olympic gold medalist and world heavyweight champion, followed by a near-death experience that took him from the ring to the pulpit. But when he sees his community struggling spiritually and financially, Foreman returns to the ring and makes history by reclaiming his title, becoming the oldest and most unlikely heavyweight boxing champion of the world ever.

Great George Forman was directed by George Tillman Jr. (The hate you give, Honour men) from a story of DanGordon AND Franco Baldovino and Tillman Jr, and a screenplay by Baldwin and Tillman. The film is the protagonist Chris Davis (Judas and the Black Messiah) as foreman and Whitaker Forest as Foreman Doc Broadus’ trainer and mentor.

Foreman previously said of the project, “It took me a long time to be ready to tell my story on the big screen, but with George Tillman at the helm, I knew I was good, and when you get knocked down, you get back up both in life.” than in the ring”.

The film will be released in theaters on April 28, 2023.
