Fans have plenty of exciting content to watch at DC Studios. Following the launch of the DC slate, we’ve been speculating about the new titles and what things will look like in these new movies and shows. One name that has been tied to the DC name for quite some time is the former Batman actor Ben Affleckwhich has remained in the mix since the company was taken over by James Gunn And Peter Safranbut we didn’t know in what capacity we would see him involved, until now.

During DC’s press conference this week, Gunn addressed Affleck’s role at the studio moving forward, saying:
“We’re working with Ben Affleck, who really wants to be…he’s been on our architectural team trying to put things together, and he really wants to lead one of our projects, and we’re thrilled that he’s doing that.”
Asked if Affleck will be involved with the new ad The brave and the daring film, which will star a rebooted Batman, Safran and Gunn confirmed that is not the case, with Safran clarifying:
“No, no, no, no. We’re just talking to Ben about general things.”
Gunn added:
“Yeah, we and Ben haven’t decided together, exactly… We’re talking about two different projects right now.”
We haven’t heard any details on what these projects are, but I’m betting we’ll hear more soon. Now that the slate has been revealed, each project will begin to differentiate itself and work out its own cast and crew. It will be nice to hear how it all turns out. I can’t wait to see DC move in this new direction.
