The bad boy franchise will have a fourth installment. Cop duo Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are tasked with revealing that the saga is back for three years and a slap in the face after ‘Bad Boys For Life’, the latest installment.

Through his Instagram account, the ‘Men in Black’ actor said he did “an announcement to be made”. In the car and to the rhythm of his best hip hop (“Shake Ya Tailfeather”) the actor headed to a place unknown to the spectators. When he arrives, a door opens and Lawrence appears. From that moment the secret ceased to exist, ‘Bad Bad Cops 4’ is a reality: “It was time!”said Smith in the text accompanying the publication.

The first of the ‘Bad Boys’ movies came out 28 years ago. In this new episode Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will repeat the direction of the police couple. Recall that this tandem took over the franchise in its latest installment (“Bad Boys For Life”), replacing Michael Bay, who laid the foundation stone of the popular franchise.
Smith will produce the film alongside Jerry Bruckheimer, Doug Belgrad and Chad Oman. Lawrence, in addition to co-starring, will also be credited as an executive producer alongside James Lassiter, Mike Stenson, Barry Waldman and Jon Mone.

There was a lot of speculation that Smith would be banned after the slap he gave Chris Rock at the Oscars gala, where he was crowned the best leading actor and worst conflict mediator of the 2022 season. With a ten-year penalty imposed by the Academy and a hard work of redemption, Smith starts making big screen again, but in a very shy way. Less than a week ago The Sun echoed some rumors commenting on Smith’s return to one of his star roles, the Genie in ‘Aladdin’. With the rumored return of Disney’s ‘street rat’ in live action and ‘Bad Boys 4’ confirmed, Smith should only revive two of the projects that were put on hiatus after his dismal performance at the 2022 Oscars: ‘Bright’ and “Fast”. and Loose’.
