Nick and Audrey Spitz’s lives have calmed down since they last solved a murder mystery, but everything changes when the Maharajah calls them into the new murder mystery 2 trailer, which Netflix released on January 30. The Maharaja is getting married and wants the Spitz to come and celebrate on his new private island.
It’s understandable that Audrey is a little apprehensive about taking this trip, considering what happened the last time they went on vacation. “Yeah, some people died,” Nick says. Audrey corrects him: “Some don’t. Much of people.”
Regardless, the couple head to the private island for the wedding and things quickly change. The Maharaja is kidnapped during the wedding. Nick watches in horror as the Maharaja is taken away and automatically assumes they are all suspects. Nick and Audrey must deliver $50 million to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris or the Maharaja dies.
Nick and Audrey’s latest trip is no cakewalk, to say the least. When Nick and Audrey come face to face with kidnappers in Paris, Audrey accidentally kills the driver with an axe. At one point, Audrey is seen hanging off the side of the Eiffel Tower. “That’s not what I planned!” Audrey yells at Nick. As she hangs on to a thread, Audrey is catapulted onto the Parisian landmark.
This is the high-stakes case that gives Nick and Audrey everything they’ve ever wanted: a break at their successful detective agency… and their long-awaited trip to Paris. But will they be able to solve the case before it’s too late?
