Image Comics has a new comic from the fan favorite creator Jimmie Robinson (Queen Bomb), Garbage rabbit. The new ongoing series will launch April 5 in comic shops and digitally.
In Junk Rabbit, a new hero emerges from piles of consumer waste, mass homelessness and devastating climate change. Some call the hero a myth, an urban legend, but others know that it is the Junk Rabbit who comes to life and is now on a bloody path of revenge against those who created him.
I love the design of this comic and the idea of this hero being born out of what we throw away is also pretty cool. As Robinson says:
Today’s iconic heroes will not reflect the future we inherit. Junk Rabbit was born out of the idea that the trash we discard today creates the heroes we deserve tomorrow… …I’m excited to explore this series through Image/Shadowline Comics because they understand that new ideas and stories create the comics we deserve tomorrow.
