Director Kurt Wimmer’s new adaptation of Stephen KingThe classic horror story Children of the grain was picked up by RLJE Films and the AMC network horror streaming service Shudder.

In this new take on the story, which serves as a prequel, “a psychopathic 12-year-old girl in a small Nebraska town recruits all the other children and goes on a bloody rampage, killing corrupt adults and anyone else who opposes her. A brilliant high schooler who won’t go along with the plan is the town’s only hope for survival.

I was wondering what was going on with this movie when it premiered a couple of years ago. But it will now hit theaters on March 3 before arriving on-demand and digital on March 21. The film marks the eleventh entry in the franchise.

Mark Ward, Chief Acquisitions Officer at RLJE Films, said in a statement: “We are thrilled to be working with Kurt Wimmer and bringing his vision of this classic Stephen King story to new audiences.”

The film is the protagonist Elena Kampouris (Before I fall), Kate Moyer (Station Eleven), Callan Mulvey (The gray man) And Bruce Spence (The road warrior).

I don’t expect this to be a great movie, but it intrigued me. So, I can’t wait to watch it. I’m a huge fan of the original movie that was made! It scared the shit out of me when I was growing up!
