Disney+ has announced a new casting call for its upcoming series adaptation of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Lance Reddick And Toby Stephens they were chosen as the two main deities. Reddick will play the role of Zeus, while Stephens will play Poseidon.

The pair will have guest star roles and appear alongside Walker Scobell like Percy as well as Arian Simhadri like Grover e Leah Sava Jeffries like Annabeth.
Zeus is described as “The all-powerful sky god and ruler of Mount Olympus, Zeus is stormy and mistrustful. He has promised to wage war if his stolen thunderbolt is not returned.
Poseidon is the god of the sea and Percy’s father. His character description reads: “Though seemingly absent from Percy’s life, many of the qualities of Poseidon reside in Percy; stubbornness, impulsiveness and loyalty. Though he remained estranged throughout Percy’s life, his deep feelings for his son (and Percy’s mother, Sally) are evident.
The series adaptation is based on the Rick Riordan book series. “The live-action show tells the fantastic story of 12-year-old modern day demigod (Scobell), who is just coming to grips with his newfound supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master thunderbolt. With the help of his friends Grover and Annabeth, Percy must embark on the adventure of a lifetime to find him and restore order to Olympus.
Other cast members include Virginia Kull, Glynn Turman, Jason Mantzoukas, Megan Mullally And Tim Sharp as well as Dior Goodjohn, Olivea Morton, Charlie Bushnell, Adam Copeland, Suzanne Cryer, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Timothy OmundsenAnd Jay Duplass.
